Udhiyah animal

Assalamu alaikum Sheikh,
While giving order for sacrifice in melbourne, there are only two options for us either we take the whole meat ourselves or ask the organisations to give the entire meat in charity in poor countries.
Which one is more advisable?
May be is it ok to ask our family members overseas (back home) to sacrifice animal on our behalf and distribute in those places.
Which is better, sacrificing here or overseas!

Assalaam alaykum
Sheikh Sultan replied saying:
The Sunnah and the better way is for you to take the meat yourself,
eat some of it, give some as gift to friends and relatives and give some to poor. To take meat ourselves, eat from it, and we distribute to others including poor as charity is what the Prophet did. It is also authentic as a saying of Ibn Abbas to do it in three parts (roughly) keep from Udhiyah for people of our house, give to neighbours and to the poor. The scholars said that this is also supported by the verse in the Quran.
This is better.
But if someone did it overseas or sent the meat from here to others without even taking the meat themselves, then it is not Haraam although the better is the first alternative mentioned above.
Wassalaam
