Assalamu alaikum

Brothers, please give your feedback in this post for what was good and what can be improved from this time's intensive arabic course that we did over two weeks plus tutorials?

Jazakumullahu khair

salaams ya mudarresu

Here is some feedback, meant in a constructive manner:

- Vocabulary sheets with "pictures" would have been really awesome. Helps in remembering.

- As the Arabic grammar has so many rules to remember, some sort of hand-out that just simply listed these rules very briefly with maybe one example and colour coded (as did in class on sabooratun) would be good too. It just helps in using that as a quick reference sheet to quickly recall a rule and apply it.

- A lot of times, I was giving much attention to jotting everything from the board and in doing so, was kinda missing out on certain important verbal explanations and meanings which I only later discovered in the tutorials.

- One of the handouts on past/present tense, would be good if it had at least one set of sentences with each tense with its English meaning. The same would apply to the Verbs handout which has the word meanings listed individually but at least one set of sentences translation for one verb would help.

- Some excercises would have been good to give at the end of Day 2 which we could answer ourselves applying what we had learnt so far and in the tutorials have them checked and corrected for better understanding. I did this once by myself by constructing 4-5 sentences and asking the tutors to see if they were ok or not.

- The tutorials (2 X a week) were really beneficial and informative and provided a good opportunity to clear any doubts and go through, practice and apply the rules more thouroughly.

- The excercise done on Day 4 of reading from the book, understanding it and answering questions was really enjoyable. The same when done with the Qur'an briefly towards the end was really good too.

- The teacher and the tutors were well versed in arabic and answered all our questions with ease and patience.

hope this helps inshallah. But yeah really enjoyed this foundation course alhamdulillah.
