Assalamu-alaikum sheikh,

I have read in Islamic books that we should not put clothing on our children which has pictures of animals/cartoons etc on it. Whenever I buy clothes for my child I make sure it has no faces on it, but I have received many gifts from friends and family that contain such images. Is it better for me to not use these items? I feel bad because there are so many, and I feel that it is a waste of perfectly good clothes if I just throw them away. At the end of the day, of course, I only want to do what is right Islamically. Can you please shed some light on the situation?

Jazak Allah Khairan
